InterMune Pharmaceutical Looks to NAPSR to Advertise Sales Openings.

PR Newswire (Washington DC) – February 2005 InterMune (Nasdaq: ITMN) is a biopharmaceutical company focused on developing and commercializing innovative therapies in hepatology and pulmonology. The Company has a broad and deep late-stage product portfolio addressing, HCV, particularly nonreponders and idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF). Leading the hepatology portfolio is the DIRECT trial, a Phase III study of daily Infergen plus ribavirin and a Phase II trial of daily Infergen plus Actimmune with or without ribavirin. The pulmonlogy portfolio includes pirfenidone and Actimmune. Pirfenidone is being developed for the treatment of IPF and for the treatment of Hermansky-Pudlak Syndrome. Actimmune is being investigated in the INSPIRE Trial, a Phase III study in patients with IPF.

InterMune has openings for a full-line field bases Clinical Sales Specialist (Pulmonlogy & Hepatology). As a sales specialist your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

Face-to-face interactions with physcians, pharmacists and other health care professionals to discuss advantages and limitations of InterMune's products and their use in the delivery of quality health care.

Develop and execute Medical educational programs in all of InterMune's therapeutic areas.

Evaluate opinion leaders as potential speakers and implement appropriate development plans as necessary.

Identify and gain access to key community based physicians and thought leaders.

Interact with managed care facilities and assist with reimbursement issues.

Maintain current and accurate records on clinician contacts and other activities.

Develop and maintain a high level of expertise in appropriate therapeutic areas.

Responsible for territory compliance with InterMune's commercial policies and practices.
