Pharmaceutical Account Manager
Professionally represent Alexion in educating customers on Hypophosphatasia (HPP) disease. Focus on educating customers to help them be able to identify patients impacted by HPP and ensure high levels of visibility to Alexion’s disease awareness initiatives. Ability to deliver a high degree of customer satisfaction in territory. Implement disease state, diagnostic, and branded programs. Maintain effective communication and relationships with key external and internal customers.

Principal Responsibilities Consistently achieve or exceed sales objectives in assigned territory Develop and maintain in-depth knowledge of the product, market and customers Develop and implement strategically targeted account-specific territory business plans in line with corporate strategy that reflect an in-depth understanding of local market forces impacting product sales. Manage territory, analyze the market dynamics to ensure territory sales goals are met, and update business plans to reflect knowledge. Develop and maintain strong in-depth clinical, technical and scientific knowledge Seek out and qualify leads and profile new accounts Educate on the diagnostic approach to the disease leading to a successful differential diagnosis and appropriate testing of patient populations Appropriately utilize marketing tools and resources including power point presentations Lead the implementation of our patient-centric partnership model in assigned territory which will include physicians, their staff, patients, clinics, and hospitals and provide high level product expertise and customer service to all accounts Make compelling and persuasive sales calls to designated customers resulting in sales of Alexion products. Proactively interact with Alexion management to refine product and market initiatives Effectively and efficiently manage time, priorities, CRM tool, resources and workload Manage administrative responsibilities, submit reports on sales activities accurately and on-time Perform work in alignment with and adheres to all Alexion’s Code of Ethics and Business Conduct and Alexion policies and procedures.

Qualifications Proven, documented track record for delivering consistent ‘Top-tier’ sales results demonstrate a consistent track record of success (Top 20% performance). Top tier awards preferred ie President’s Club Award. Minimum 5 years specialty biologics or equivalent sales experience Strong preference for sales experience in one or more of following: Endocrinology and Medical Genetics specialties and/or experience selling to physicians specialized in treating bone disorders Enzyme Replacement Therapy products Orphan, Ultra-Orphan or rare disease experience Nephrology, Orthopedic surgery and Rheumatology specialties Self-injected product Institution/academic center account experience is preferred Ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment, on a consistent basis Ability to gain consistent access & develop strong, professional relationships for scientific exchange and promotion with healthcare providers in community and academic centers Demonstrated strategic territory management successes Effective verbal and written communication skills and organizational abilities Valid driver’s license and clean driving Ability to travel within assigned territory on a regular basis which will include frequent overnight and some weekend travel. Education Degree in life science and/or business/marketing Advanced or Master’s degree preferred
